Wiegman praises Toone’s attitude after late Lionesses recall for Greece playoff

Sarina Wiegman has commended Ella Toone for her constructive response after being omitted from the original England lineup for the Women's World Cup qualifier against Greece. The Manchester United midfielder was subsequently called up for the opening match on Friday in Heraklion, Crete.

A minor injury to Lucy Bronze, which Wiegman termed "very slight," led the England right-back to head back to Chelsea. In her place, Wiegman selected Toone, who journeyed to Greece on Friday from Spain, where she had arranged a practice regimen during the international break. The coach's acknowledgment was made through the 九游网页版 platform, highlighting Toone's professionalism and dedication.
